Hey all,

Sorry for my absense. My internet connection is down at the house, and probably will be until some time next week. I'll try to get on when Ican, but I doubt that will be very often ::pouts::

Laelith watched as the dark one and the elf entered, offering each a cursory, welcoming nod. She hoped they would be able to find the breakfast for themselves, if they so desired food. With a shake of those dusty red locks, she watched the Gryphon leave, wondering just why he bothered with taverns if they were so against his tastes, or whether he was simply lonely and arogant, and trying to find a balence between the two.

As Cirrac approached her, she smiled. "Of course I've a moment. What can I help you with?" Her voice was honeyed, but not unnaturally so. She seemed to be in a pleasant mood, despite the morning's unusual beginnings.

10:59 am - An Unusual Breakfast
Laelith watches as the young Selkie lass enters, and too, as she moves toward the larger man accompanying her. She was still unaware of the elven man within the halls, with half her attention upon the gryphon, and the other half upon the pale, trembling slave girl. She patiently awaited the Gryphon's response to her, hoping that the girl had wit enough about her to at least glance in Laelith's directions, that she may give what comfort she had been equipped to give. She called a small vial to her palm, fingering it with a wary lust.

After a pleasant early morning sleep, the mannor begins to bustle. Food smells begin to waft through the hallways, servants and residents begin moving throught the under tunnels, and there is simply a intoxicating thrum of vitality that can be sensed from the very walls of this strange, strange place.

Laelith came down to the tavern's main room, a door appearing at her touch that hadn't been there earlier, the door, no doubt, leading to the vast city housed within and below this hilltop abode. Upon entering, she called awake the torches and light-globes that illuminated the forever dark room, the room that had indeed earned the tavern it's name. She was clothed in a gold-emboriderd shift of cerulean linnen, a rich gift of fabric brought to her by the Mistress at one point in time or another, and one of her favorite day-bound garments. Her dusty red hair was loose, and sapphire eyes lined with khol, a simple vanity she humored herself with. She called in a myriad of juices and the breakfast meal from the vast kitchens, pulling out pieces of fruits, breads, and pastry. Settling herself at one of the marble tables, she began to pick at her meal, wondering what the day would bring for her.

Laelith, Katrienne and Elise gathered in the main hall of the tavern, each relaxing with a drink after completing their service to each patron. The girls made small talk, simply enjoying each others company, waiting for any other patrons who might make there entrance late into the eve.

Bianca, on the other hand, still sat with Meir, worried and uncertain of just *what* it was he was playing at. She prayed the Lady would return to the manner soon, and she clung to the hope that the woman would sort everything out for her. It wasn't that she didn't want to serve the fae man, she was just uncertain of the situation in it's entirety, and she had never been known for her good taste in choices.

Elise and Katrienne are still where they were last post. Don't feel like re-writing that, lol.

Love!

Bianca looked a little mortified, which was odd, from someone in her position.

"You want me to... lie?" Her tones were dulcet and well-paced, but Meir could see in her eyes what she was honestly feeling. "Why would you want me to tell people things you didn't do... but paid for regardless...." She paused, milling something over in her mind. "I am not even supposed to speak upon the goings-on. Patron privacy is quite impotant here." She foldd her hands gently upon her lap, the issue clear-cut in her head, but she leaned a little on the simple, "a rule is a rule" side of life.

Elise waited, curtsied before the elven man, hoping his approval, the silence from him a stark reminder that she was indeed a servant in this household, however comfortable or happy she may be. She studied him with her calculating amber eyes, remembering suddenly another elf from her past.... one that she would... well... rather not think upon.

She offered a quick prayer to Blake, her patron god, hoping that she would be able to keep her mind clear.

***

Bianca too waited, wondering just what Meir was going to ask of her. She hadn't yet garnered an opinion on the man, but she had decided that it would be good for her to keep wary. She wanted to like him, for he seemed well meaning and honest, but... there was still something...

*No sane person goes around trying to liberate slaves...* She tought sardonically. And even if one did, there are far too many, and far too many more worse off than I.

Her thoughts carried her like this as she called in a meal for herself, wondering why he would not partake of the food. It wasn't like he was getting off cheaper... the meals come with what he was paying for the room....

***

Katienne drew the bath in the last room reserved for the night, wondering just where her patron was. She had already materialized the meal, not wanting the void she used to wear at the food. With a couple quick hand motiong, she trapped the heat into the food, keeping the meats steaming and the breads fresh and soft.

The woman, a slight, willowy creature with cafe au lait skin, retreated to kneel unobtrusively by the bath, her almond-shaped eyes of the clearest green taking in every angle of the room. It wasn't that she was unfamiliar with the place, but she wanted to have a fresh picture in her mind so that she could continually add to her little mental map. She rolled her shoulds a little, small knobs beside the inside of each shoulderblade rubbing slightly upon the top of her underbust corset.

With a little sigh, she sat, contented to detail the angles of the catherdral-styled ceiling in her mind.

OOC:
Okay, Cler-Mun, I love you! You read the other list! Yay!!!! ::this is your DM-esque person happy::

IC:

Laelith nodded to Mier, "I just need 10 allutes for her company, and you and she can talk all you'd like." There was a smile playing on her impish face. "As for a room, would you prefer a garden suite, or a mannor suite? And do you wish me to have a meal and drinks sent, and a bath drawn before you retire?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each of the attending girls waited by the baths for the occupants of their rooms, wondering what they would be bid to do, glad, for a change, not to be upon the wall.

Elise, the girl sent to attend on Cleriden, hurried about his desired tasks. She gathered his requested rations from the kitchens, and then badages and some ointments, salves and potion tablets from the infermery. She also detailed a map and directions to the mannor's armory, so that he may either purchase or order what he needed. Upon disposing the used bandages and delivering the elf's garments to the laundress, she had a bit of time to chat with the pleasant older woman over the wash basin, none to proud to help out where she could. They passed the remainder of Elise's two mark allotment together, laughing and generally making the best they could of the night. There was almost one blunder with a heavy gown of the Lady's, but it was solved quickly enough. More importantly, the presence of a dress meant that the Mistress had been at the mannor recently, even if they had not seen her.

As Elise traversed the maze of hallways leading to the gardens, she thought about the Lady. Sure, she kept slaves, but she treated them well, and when all was said and done, she loved them in her own way, and they all loved her in return.

She was still thinking on the situation when she arrived at the door to Cleriden's cottage. With a gentle knock, she waited from him to admit her. "Kind sir, it's Elise, your attendant. I have what things you've requested." She held nothing as she stood there, but as had been displayed, one need not be holding something to posess it.

10:55 am - Turning In for Some
Laelith watched as the tavern began to empty, glad to see her rooms filling up for the eve. She paused a moment, wondering where that dark fellow had run off to, before returning her attention to the tasks as hand.

Her sapphire hues closed for a moment, and her wand made little tally marks and sketching motions as if she used it as a pen. When she opened her eyes, she looked content. Both the couple and the elf would have an attendent at their beck and call.

She then looked back to the fae man, wondering if he would indeed approach her.
